Sperm Donation Criteria & Process

Male infertility accounts for nearly one-third of infertility cases. In some cases, conditions such as azoospermia prevent sperm production, making sperm donation an important solution for helping couples achieve pregnancy.

At NUWA Fertility Center, we have established a comprehensive sperm bank and donation program. By becoming a sperm donor, you can help bring new life to families in need.

Sperm Donation Criteria

To ensure safety and quality, sperm donors must meet the following requirements:

Eligibility Requirements

Male aged 20–50
BMI between 17–28
No anemia, genetic diseases, or chronic illnesses
No smoking, alcohol consumption, or long-term medication use
No previous sperm donation resulting in a live birth, and no stored embryos awaiting implantation

If you meet these criteria, you are eligible to apply as a sperm donor and help families in need.

Sperm Donation Process

Step 1: Online Registration

Submit the sperm donation application form
NUWA will contact you within 7 business days

Step 2: Health Evaluation

Semen analysis and medical examination
Results available within 7–14 days
Proceed if results meet medical standards

Step 3: Matching & Sperm Freezing

Data submitted for government review and identity verification
Approval process typically takes 1–3 months
Once approved, semen collection and cryopreservation will be arranged

Step 4: Follow-Up Blood Test

Return to the clinic 6 months after donation
Blood test for HIV and syphilis (to rule out incubation period risks)

Once results are confirmed normal, the donation process is officially completed.

Compensation for Sperm Donation

According to Taiwan regulations, a nutrition fee of NT$8,000 will be provided after completing the 6-month follow-up blood test.
