Another couple is preparing to graduate from the fertility clinic and begin their next chapter in prenatal care.
Mrs. C was 33 years old and had been trying to conceive for nearly five years. Initial fertility evaluations showed that most of her reproductive health indicators were normal. However, her husband’s sperm count was significantly low at 6 million/mL, leading to a diagnosis of male factor infertility.
Low Sperm Count and IVF Treatment Decisions
Male infertility can be a sensitive topic for many couples, especially for men who may feel uncomfortable discussing fertility concerns. However, Mrs. C’s husband approached the situation openly and proactively, allowing the couple to carefully explore all available treatment options together.
After detailed discussions regarding pregnancy success rates and treatment strategies, the couple decided to proceed with IVF treatment to maximize their chances of conception.
Successful IVF Cycle with High-Quality Blastocysts
Fortunately, Mrs. C had an excellent ovarian reserve, with an AMH level of 4.16. During her IVF cycle, 21 eggs were successfully retrieved. Through fertilization and embryo culture, the embryology team developed six high-quality blastocyst embryos.
The following month, we transferred the two highest-quality embryos. Based on her early HCG levels, there was a possibility that both embryos had implanted. However, follow-up ultrasounds confirmed the development of one healthy gestational sac.
From Heartbeat to Graduation Day
Over the next two months, we watched the pregnancy progress beautifully — from the appearance of a tiny gestational sac, to a visible heartbeat, and eventually to the early development of the baby’s head, torso, arms, and legs.
Last week, the couple officially graduated from the infertility clinic and attended their first prenatal appointment.
Every successful pregnancy reminds us that fertility treatment is not simply about laboratory results or procedures — it is also about trust, communication, and perseverance throughout the journey.
