When I first met this patient in the clinic, she came alone, her voice carrying a hint of hesitation and uncertainty. She openly shared that she was not yet sure whether she wanted to have children in the future, but she understood that fertility declines with age. So she made a decision: “Freeze my eggs first, and decide later.” She viewed egg freezing as a form of insurance for her life.
